Begun in 1916,
Parkdale
Mills has weathered the temperate storms of the textile and manufacturing industries. In an industry where margins are slim, the company top management executives, have managed to keep the company as a leader through not being afraid of innovation.
In 1961,
Parkdale
had one mill and less than 200 employees. Today, the company has 31 plants and over 2,500 employees.
Parkdale's
history is based on a single vision and pursuit of improvement - a process that always keeps the customer in mind.
Parkdale
has remained a privately owned company to retain flexibility, which provides the latitude for experimentation rarely found in publicly-owned firms.
As
Parkdale
purchased new mills, they upgraded the facilities with the latest technology to speed production and increase product quality.
Parkdale
also opened fiber distribution centers (FDC), where all incoming fiber is tested, and a fiber research center (FRC). The latest facilities located inside Green Valley Industrial Park are part of the company's continuous expansion.
